Grant Competitions

EPF periodically sponsors competitions and tenders through which it invites proposals on a designated theme aimed at the development of a particular field. Competitions result in multiple grants, while tenders — only one grant. Announcements and results of competitions and tenders are posted on the EPF website.

When the foundation is planning a competition or tender in a particular field, it reserves the right to review related proposals exclusively through the framework of the competition. “Open Door” inquiries or proposals related to the competition submitted prior to or during a competition may be resubmitted as competition proposals.

Open Grant Competitions and Calls

The following calls are currently open:

• GRANT COMPETITION: Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) invites proposals for a grant competition in support of small-scale civic monitoring initiatives in Georgia. The priority of the competition is to assist grassroots civil society organizations (CSOs) in Guria, Kvemo Kartli, Kakheti, Ajara, and Imereti to strengthen their institutional capacity and ability to identify and address the problems of their communities by engaging communities and local authorities in this process. Due July 9, 2010 at 6:00pm

Past Grant Competitions

• GRANT COMPETITION: Eurasia Partnership Foundation, within the National Integration and Tolerance in Georgia program, invites capital-based and regional non-governmental/non-for-profit organizations (including ethnic minority organizations) to submit proposals to further the objectives of the National Concept and Action Plan for Tolerance and Civic Integration (further referred to as The Concept.). Due August 17 2009, 5:00.

• GRANT COMPETITION: Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) invites proposals for a grant competition in support of civic monitoring initiatives in Georgia. The grant competition is a part of EPF’s Citizen Engagement and Monitoring for Change program, which is designed to increase the commitment to effective and sustained community engagement in decision making processes in Georgia. Due June 30, 2009; 6:00pm

• CALL FOR PROPOSALS: Eurasia Partnership Foundation invites Georgian civil society organizations to submit project proposals that will encourage and facilitate a resolution of the current political impasse through broad, inclusive dialogue among civil society organizations, political groups, and citizens with different viewpoints.

• GRANT COMPETITION: EPF is re-announcing a grant competition for the production of investigative journalism materials for TV, radio, print media or Internet. This competition is open to local mass media outlets, NGOs, media schools, and all relevant organizations registered and functioning in Georgia. Due May 24, 2010 at 5 p.m. Funding for this grant competition is provided by both the European Union and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

• GRANT COMPETITION: Within the terms of the European Union funded project Strengthening the Media’s Role as a Watchdog Institution in Georgia implemented by Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF), EPF announces a grant competition and invites local mass media outlets registered and functioning in Georgia, NGOs, media schools, and all relevant organizations to submit proposals for the production of investigative journalism materials for TV, Radio, print media or Internet. Due December 11, 2009 by 5 p.m.

• GRANT COMPETITION: Eurasia Partnership Foundation invites non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to submit grant proposals focused on the sustainable use of natural resources by educating and mobilizing communities and engaging in economic development that promotes environmental preservation. Due December 9, 2009, 18:00.

• GRANT COMPETITION: Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) invites proposals for a grant competition in support of civic monitoring initiatives in Georgia. The grant competition is a part of EPF’s Engage and Monitor for Change program, which is designed to increase effective and sustained community engagement in decision making processes at the local and national level. Due June 21, 2010 at 6:00 PM.
